Moving Rocks!

So if you move, you have to deal with all kinds of MEN. Realtors. Home inspectors. Radon dudes. Termite guys. Bankers. MOVERS. It's absolutely great and so much fun for a gal like me who totally loves the mens. Had I known I would encounter this much white-hot masculinity in a short time, I would've moved years ago. Damn! Ladies, MOVE! It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only hope for high temperatures on my moving day so that perhaps--PERHAPS--the moving dudes will work shirtless. Hey, a girl can dream!!!!!!!More

Top Ten Reasons Why Scooter is Perfect

1) He doesn't make me pay for dressing him up in costumes on holidays (see gallery!)
2) He's incredibly neat and tidy for a former alley cat.
3) He's always with me no matter what room of the house I'm in.
4) His face is incredibly changeable. He has quite a repertoire of facial expressions.
5) The minute I get horizontal for a nap or bedtime, he's right there with me.
6) He is not stinky. At all. In fact, the top of his head smells like a caramel candy.
7) He's very interactive with guests.
8) He's not all about food.
9) He knows the sound of my car and greets me at the door when I come home.
10) He's really a little person in a cat body. A person I don't have to buy braces for, or send to college. A person who will never, ever run out of the room sobbing "I hate you I hate you I HATE YOU!!!"More

I bought a freaking house!

Scooter will soon have a new home! After seven years of living in the very best (and cheapest) apartment in Charles Village and paying rent to the very best landlord ever, I have to move. My landlord and his wife, who live downstairs, need more space. Rather than face the abject humiliation of having to rent from someone half my age, I decided to put my commitmentphobia on the back burner and buy my own place.

Scooter will love the house because it's two stories and he can finally run up and down stairs. Perhaps he will lose some of the weight my weight-obsessed sister says he's gained. Perhaps I will, too.
